Overall Experience

How would you describe your overall experience of the Workshop to colleagues or friends?

10/10! I really enjoyed myself and the Course, as well as finding motivation in myself to improve my personal self as well as the quality of work produced by me. | I can recommend. It was a good experience. | It was a must. | Very interesting. A must for project managers. | As a great course and very helpful. | Full of growth ideas. | Very clear overview of how Project Management works, and all the relevant aspects of it. | Recommendable. | It was inspiring. Good to learn something new, like Scope Creep. | It is good. Could be more interactive though. | It’s insightful, confirmation of what my boss said. Light bulbs went off. | It was a good course. Something different from standard academic course or training methods.

What were the main positive things that contributed to your overall experience?

The way that the Course was presented surprised me and also kept me wanting more. | Leadership as individual. | Good presenter. Interesting subject. Clear path. Perfect outcome. | The foundation and to know what is right and where we need to assist. NB!! Rule for Risk. | The team experience. | The interaction with both companies and the expert. The questions and interaction with all team members. | We had a lot of people from db Audio. | The environment with open people. | Being able to share in a safe space. | The openness of participants. | The teaching method.

What were the main negative things that contributed to your overall experience?

I was not overly excited when I heard my company booked me for a Course, but in the end I felt motivated and very well informed. | None. | I can’t think of something. | Jumping around of information between questions. | None. | Time. | The two-hour session felt long at times – more breaks that are active. | Less breaks. | For one who gets bored quickly, concentration became difficult after listening for a while, then do something.

About the learning materials

What did you think of the workbook?

I liked them. Simple, colourful and easy to withdraw info from. | Different, which is good. Pictures are easier to remember. | Draws my attention. | Different, but good | Great to reflect and have more information from other’s perspectives. | Different, but insightful. | Great and clear understanding of information. | Useful. | They were different, but cool for drawing diagrams. | I liked that it was drawings and not only written text. | I like the pictures and the colour changes of pages are interesting. | It’s clear enough.

What could be improved?

Nothing. I like them as is. | No clue. | More team activities in between. | I can’t really comment because I can’t compare it to the same type of course. | More practical work, hands on. | More drawings. | I think it’s good. | Sometimes the jump around topics don’t work for people that like to follow a plan.

Did you find the quizzes helpful?

Yes. At first they seem overly simple, but force you to think more intensely. | Especially the discussions in the team were interesting and helpful. | Yes. | Yes. | Yes, very much. | Yes. They do make you think. | Yes, give clearer answers on the questions. | Yes. | Yes. | Yes. | Yes, made me think twice before answering. | Yes.

About the lecturer

What did she do well?

Pretty much everything! I do not listen or concentrate very well sometimes, but she kept me engaged while she was on stage. | Keeping the audience focused! | She made it very understandable and kept my attention. | Explained fully. | To engage with one another, and how she presented, made you feel comfortable. | Awesome in explaining complex situations. | Explaining clearly and going into detail to make sure you understand and why. | Kept good eye contact. | She did a clear communication. | She noticed very quickly when the team became distracted and allowed us to use materials to distract ourselves. | Tania made a lot of comparisons, I liked that. Talking about real situations. | Explanation/the breakdown of things.

What could she have done better?

Nothing. I enjoyed listening to her a lot. | A little bit much talking for me. | Have better tech support i.e. sound system. | We had sound coming from the back of the room. Next time have the speaker at the front. | To do more drawings. | More breaks in two hours and get participants to move around more. | Level of voice tone is a bit low sometimes. Tania speaks soft sometimes. More breaks or stretches – although that’s possible to do, I kind of felt I’m disturbing the group if I do it alone. | Have a more closed schedule even if it has to pause to answer questions. Sometimes the mind struggles to do a quick jump from topic to topic even if it’s all Project Management.

Transformation

What one thing that you have learned will have the greatest impact on your work on Monday morning?

The way I view my role within our company compared to my role in a project that I might be part of. | The fact that responsibility, authority, accountability form THE triangle of the PM attributes. Marius could be our future scheduler! | Engage one another. | Personality profiles | The process of how you break down your work. Where it starts with you and ends. | Mind state of individuals. | Engaging yourself and one another. Strategy 3 keys. | The Rule for Risk. | The environment. | The Rule for Risk. Learning organisation. | Not to be offended when corrected – that’s how a person learns. | The Rule for Risk.
