What’s in the exam?
PRINCE2® Foundation Exam
The purpose of this exam is to confirm you have sufficient knowledge and understanding of the PRINCE2® method to be able to work as a member of a project management team working in an environment supporting PRINCE2®. The Foundation certification is also a prerequisite for the Practitioner certification.
This closed-book exam takes 1 hour, and consists of a 75 multiple choice questions. (5 of these questions are trial questions, and don’t count towards the final mark.)
The pass mark is 35+ out of 70, i.e. 50%.
PRINCE2® Practitioner Exam
The purpose of the Practitioner exam is to confirm that you understand how to apply and tailor PRINCE2® in a scenario situation. The exam takes 2½ hours, and consists of 8 questions. You may take your official PRINCE2® manual into the exam room for reference purposes.
The pass mark is 44+ out of 80, i.e. 55%.
Where are the exams held?
Although exams can be done online, you can also schedule a written exam in one of the major centres in South Africa (Johannesburg, Cape Town, Durban, East London and Port Elizabeth), as well as in Zambia, Zimbabwe, Tanzania, Kenya, Mauritius and the Seychelles.
The PRINCE2® Foundation and Practitioner exams are included in the PRINCE2® Classroom Course.
