Neurodiversity
Like cultural diversity, large organisations have shown that neurodiversity can be very beneficial in a Project Management environment if the culture of the organisation values both neurotypical and neurodivergent contributions.
Neurodiversity (noun) refers to the diversity of human brains and minds—the infinite variation in neurocognitive functioning within our species.
Neurodivergent (adjective) means having a brain that functions in ways that diverge significantly from the dominant societal standards of “normal.”
Neurodivergence (noun) means having a neurodivergent neurotype.
Neurotype (noun) means “the kind of brain you have”.
