Critical Thinking

What is critical thinking, and why is it important?

Critical thinking is a key gateway skill to competence in the Project Manager Competency Development (PMCD) Framework.

The articles below explain the importance and application of critical thinking in the study of Project Management.

We explicitly raise this topic in many of our articles, because the majority of our clients from all walks of life and across all cultures have grown up in schooling and educational environments where critical thinking was not encouraged. Most conventional Project Management training also does not provide means for fostering the kind of critical thinking needed for effective Project Management.

To understand what we mean by critical thinking, check out the definition and explanation provided by The Foundation for Critical Thinking.
