Study advice from Sonamarie Meyer-Pum

The first aspect I would like to bring upon your attention is to clearly plan according to your daily routines when the best time would be to study. You need at least thirty to forty minutes uninterrupted time per session. Once you have determined when the best time would be to focus on studying you need to clearly communicate this to your family. You will need their support during the following weeks. I would suggest you set up a weekly programme tracking the progress of your studying. If the study time changes compared to the plan, record the reasons why. This is a nice way to implement tracking your own progress, clearly stipulating the milestones along the way. I would also suggest you watch Salman Khan’s TED video, Let’s Teach For Mastery, Not Test Scores. Salman has an excellent point in the fact that you need to focus on mastering the required skills and not just to focus on the results of the test scores. The course also provides Study Group Forums in which you can test your knowledge and update your List of Terms. (This is where you develop a terminology of project management definitions.) You will realise once you start the course, there is not just one textbook that focuses on Project Management, but various ones, as well as articles and Web sites. It can become confusing, but in the end all will make sense.
At only R3,910, this remarkable course is a gateway to personal growth in the world of Project Management. Find out more about the Project Management Concepts course
